Corporate Integrity in the World of Luxury: Responsible Diamonds
The Fashion for Positive Change module situated me in a group dedicated to systematic change in ‘Corporate Integrity in the World of Luxury’, where I specialised in researching Responsible Diamonds. I took on the organisational responsibility of dissecting information from each of my team members' educational microsites to formulate and design the following infographic. I am now able to confidently identify issues, debate concerns and devise appropriate creative solutions where necessary. As well as confidently present my findings with my group to an audience in a symposium setting.
I looked at the marketing masterpiece that is De Beers diamond venture, the debate of natural vs lab grown diamonds, how legislation such as the Kimberley Process impacted the trade of blood diamonds and finally - how blockchain can be used as a solution to all traceability concerns. In order to be more responsible, brands should look to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals in order to progress positively.
